Celebrate Pride Month with McLib!
Every year, the month of June honors the historical Stonewall riots at the Stonewall Inn in New York City in June of 1969, often considered a “tipping point” in the gay liberation movement. To celebrate strides made in LGBTQ+ rights and the community, Pride Month was created to increase visibility and decrease stigma, as well as showcase the influence LGBTQ+ individuals have had on our history, nationally and internationally.
Stop by our table between 12 – 4 PM at the Paducah PrideFest event happening downtown, Saturday, June 4th!
One of the ways you can celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month is by reading, watching, or listening to works created by members of the LGBTQ+ community! Click the titles below to find out more about them, check them out digitally, or place a hold on them.
