AARP volunteers will once again be at the Library to assist with tax preparation. They will take appointments for Wednesdays and Fridays between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm from February 6th until April 10th.
Appointments will open soon. You will be able to make an appointment for tax-aide at the McCracken County Public Library and other locations online by clicking HERE.
Beginning in February AARP tax-aide volunteers will be at the following locations and times in this area:
Monday Concord United Methodist Church in Paducah 9:00 to 2:00
Monday Calloway County Public Library 9:00 to 1:00
Tuesday Marshall County Library in Benton 9:30 to 2:30
Tuesday Concord United Methodist Church in Paducah 12:00 to 5:00
Wednesday McCracken County Public Library in Paducah 9:30 to 3:00
Thursday Lyon County Senior Center in Eddyville 9:00 to 12:30
Friday McCracken County Public Library in Paducah 9:30 to 3:00
Saturday Marshall County Library in Benton 9:00 to 1:00
Tax Forms and Other Resources:
The Kentucky Revenue Department provides printed State Tax forms. Federal Tax forms and instructions may also be printed and downloaded from IRS.gov. The Library will have a limited amount of pre-printed forms, but printing assistance is also available.
The local Kentucky Revenue Department office is located at the Clark Business Complex, Suite G (across from Noble Park). Office Hours are Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm. They recommend going to the KY Revenue Department Website for general information and answers to frequently asked questions. Other state tax questions: 502-564-4581 (there is no toll-free number for state questions).
Kentucky Revenue is also offering free tax preparation assistance by appointment only, for those with low income. Appointments there can be made after January 20th. Make an appointment at Kentucky Revenue by phone at 270-575-7148 after January 20th.
