Account Passwords

Beginning Tuesday, January 22, 2019, all library accounts will be required to have a password.

Why?

Passwords on library accounts give you an extra level of security for your personal information.  Account passwords are a library industry standard.

How?

Beginning January 22, 2019, your account will be automatically given a password equal to the last 4 digits of your library card number.

We recommend that you change this default password as soon as possible. Passwords can be changed online via your account, or in person at the library. Passwords may be 4-25 characters in length and contain upper- and lower-letters, numbers, and special characters. We recommend a combination of all three.

Where?

Your library password will be required most places you use your library card, including, but not limited to:

Your online library account at mclib.net, the myMCLIB app, Lynda.com, Overdrive, Hoopla, etc., and public computers at the library
