Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Recognizes McCracken County Public Library

Adult Services Programming Assistant, Amanda Quint, AKA, “Blonde on the Pond” received this certificate of appreciation from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife for establishing the fishing gear loaner program at the library, as well as other future outdoor-related programs. The fishing gear loaner program allows adult patrons to check out a rod and reel, along with a mini tackle pack. This is an inexpensive and convenient way to get involved with the basics of pan fishing, and enjoy the outdoors. All you need is a fishing permit and you’re set. The poles can be kept for 3 weeks.

Come in and check out a rod and reel this week! The weather is supposed to be great this weekend.

Amanda is the creator of Blonde on the Pond Fishing, fishing video YouTube vlogger, and radio podcast co-host on “Just Another Morning Show” on Monday mornings at 8:00 am on Classic KYMO 105.3 FM, discussing fishing, the outdoors, cooking, and current events. She teaches us about filleting fish in this video:
