Get a Library Card

Regular Library Card:

Allows for the checkout of physical materials from the library, as well as the use of all online services (eBooks, eAudiobooks, Movies, TV, research databases) and in-house computers. Available to residents of McCracken County plus Ballard, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian, Crittenden, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, Trigg, Union and Webster Counties in Kentucky. Those living elsewhere that want a regular card may pay a $60/year non-resident fee.

If your card has been stolen please let us know. If your card has been lost you may replace it for $2.

In order to receive a card, proof of residence must be established by providing one of the following:

  • Government-issued ID, such as driver’s license or ID card with current address
  • Current property tax receipt
  • Letter confirming your residence at a local short=-term residential facility
  • Printed lease/contract for deed/deed
  • Utility bill or piece of mail in your name, received within the last month
  • A check with your current address

If none of these is available, the Library can take an application and send a postcard to the address provided. Upon return of the postcard, the library will issue a card.

We will e-mail a Digital Services only card to you within one buiness day. To get a regular card you must come to the Library.

Digital Services Only Card:

Allows for the use of all online services (eBooks, eAudiobooks, Movies, TV, research databases) and in-house computers. Available to residents of Massac Co., Illinois, and the Kentucky counties of McCracken Ballard, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian, Crittenden, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, Trigg, Union and Webster, as well as residents from these counties who may not be eligible for a Regular card. Applicants for a “Digital Services Only” card will receive a digital library card number via email, but no physical card.
