For ages 11-17: Join us and brainstorm teen activities at the library. We want your input so stop by and hang out!
Oct 10th 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Every Saturday, we clear out the conference room to make room for our giant collection of Lego bricks! Legos at the Library is open to all children, boys and girls, that want to turn their creativity into something they can design and then build. Parents are welcome to get involved to build something amazing with their child. The best part is that the library requires shoes, so you can't step on a lego brick with your bare feet! Legos at the Library is a chance for children to learn fine motor skills and problem solving, express their creativity and use their imaginations, and learn to share or even collaborate with others. Be sure to join us every Saturday from 1-4pm in the second floor Conference Room. For more information, contact the Youth Services department at 270-442-2510 x122.
Oct 12th 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Need help starting or tweaking your resume? Let Dusty help on Monday nights. We'll get you set up with the library's resume builder so you can build a properly formatted resume in no time, print it, and access it any time from any computer. Help is provided by appointment only, so please register in advance by calling 270-442-2510 x119.
Oct 13th 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Join Ms. Nicole, Brary Bear, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Retta, and Bob Dog for Story Time! This weekly program brings the children's books of the library to life through puppet shows, skits, songs, and dances. Shows are held on Tuesdays at 10am and 1pm and all are welcome to attend. Come hear a new story at Story Time!
Oct 13th 11:00 am - 11:20 am
Baby and Me is a special story time for babies 0-2 years of age. The class is 20 minutes long and meets after Story Time on Tuesdays at 11 AM. One child and one caregiver will join Miss Katie in singing songs, finger-playing, and introducing babies to stories and books. Baby and Me uses The Very Ready Reading Program, which suggests early literacy tips and fun ways to begin the love of reading with your child. The group style setting of the class is great for baby socialization and meeting new families. No registration is required. For more information, contact Katie in the Youth Services department at 270-442-2510 x122.
