[Virtual Program] Avoiding “Tech Neck” While Staying #healthyathome
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us are using our computers as makeshift desks, spending hours a day scrolling social media and news sites, and reading our library books on our phones and tablets. But our bodies aren’t naturally equipped to hunch over monitors or constantly look down at screens. Heavy screen use can be doing real damage to our spine, neck, and back.
Join Cory Midkiff, PT, DPT and Lois Dolan, PT, of Atlas Physical Therapy, in this conversation with the Library’s Sarah McGowan. They’ll give you useful tips and tricks and demonstrate correct posture and some useful neck and back stretches, so you can avoid the neck pain, headaches and more that are associated with “tech neck.”
This program will be presented on Facebook Live.
