Leading with Purpose: Lessons on the Journey to College Presidency

This engaging presentation will capture his personal and professional experiences from Barbados to Kentucky through Tennessee and Florida that molded and influenced his leadership style.  He will provide an overview covering the key strategies that developed from his challenges, setbacks and successes. 

A book signing will immediately follow the presentation. Light refreshments will be served. 

Strategies and Pathways to Innovative Leadership: Secret Recipe for Success,  is Dr. Reece 's debut title.  The book provides the "ingredients" of handling criticism, resilience, focus fundamentals, emotional intelligence and navigating politics.  A must read for college students, emerging professionals, new leaders seeking promotion and those leaders seeking long term success.

 Dr. Anton R. Reece, President and CEO of West Kentucky Community and Technical College brings over 30 years of various expertise and experience in higher education, leadership training, communication, including public speaking, marketing, broadcasting news, television, and radio.  At the national, regional, and local level, Dr. Reece utilized his visionary, creative, and leadership style to build partnerships, convene teams with transformative results and intentionality outreach to diverse, rural, and underserved communities. Under Dr. Reece's Leadership WKCTC has earned national distinction as the top two-year college in the nation by Gardner/Barefoot Institute in 2024, a record five-time top 10 Aspen Institute finalist, and in 2021 as a top five college in the nation as a finalist with distinction among the nation's 1000 community and technical college.
